The main airport in the area is the OR Tambo International Airport which is roughly 47 minutes away and is just under 60 km in distance. There is also a national airport in Wonderboom entitled The Wonderboom National Airport, which is around 40 km in distance and is 35 to 50 minutes travel time depending on which route is chosen. If one wishes to travel from Tyger Valley to Johannesburg its believed to take over an hour and is 70 km to 80 km in distance depending on which route is chosen.

Transport

This particular suburb is quite new and is still growing in terms of available amenities such as public transport. There are various buses which will travel near the area as well as the extensive minivan taxi services that enable individuals to commute through the various epicentres of the country. Alternatively, individuals could also use private transportation and metered taxis, the roads are well-kept in this region of Pretoria for that reason.
